 Ardella Deis

Ardella Deis and her husband, Dean live on a farm north of Linton, ND. They have two sons, Monte and Alex. Monte was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis as a newborn infant. Ardella and Dean have been CFA members since Monte was born. Ardella is Director of Tax Equalization for Emmons County, North Dakota. 

 

 

Chad Kramer

Chad Kramer and his wife, Sara, live in Bismarck with their two daughters, Hannah who has cystic fibrosis, and Olivia. 

 

 

Cindy Buchanan

Cindy Buchanan lives in Mandan, ND with her husband Dave, who teaches at Mandan High School. Dave and Cindy have one daughter Carly, who has cystic fibrosis. Carly is attending Argosy University in Eagan, MN, pursuing her Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. In August 2012, Carly will begin a 9-month internship at the Family Resource Center in Big Lake, MN as a family therapist. Cindy works for the Bank of North Dakota in Bismarck.

 

David Backlund

David Backlund and his wife, Lisa, live in Fargo with their two daughters, Alexandra and Sophia, who has cystic fibrosis. David is a commercial real estate broker and entrepreneur in the Fargo area. David and Lisa have volunteered for the Fargo area CF Golf Classic and other CFA special events in Fargo.

 

 

Kathy Rumple

Kathy Rumple is a long-time member with a daughter, Jamie, who is affected with CF. Kathy is married to Jim Rumple, who works for Badlands Power Fuels as a safety officer. Kathy continues to work as a medical transcriptionist. Kathy and Jim's daughter Jamie is married to Jeff Haupt, living in Thief River Falls, MN, and is working as a medical transcriptionist. 

 

Jeff Gross

Jeff Gross and wife, Connie have been members of CFA since it's beginning. Jeff and Conie moved to Bismarck in 2001 and Jeff haas been employed by Cenex of Bismarck/Mandan since. Connie has her own Day Care business, primarily caring for their grandchildren and relatives. Jeff and Connie have 4 children and 10-plus grandchildren. Jeff presently serves as board president.

Their youngest Katherine (Katie) is married to Josh Wangler and they have a son and are expecting another child in November 2012. She is employed as an attorney assistant for the Burleigh County States' Attorney. Katie has cystic fibrosis and is a member of CFA. Matthew is married to Michelle and live in Jamestown where he is the manager of Russ Davis Wholesale Warehouse. Michelle is a home mom. They have 5 children, 2 bos and 3 girls. Taunia is married to Sheldon Welch and she works for BSC. Her husband is a police officer for the City of Bismarck. They have 4 girls. The oldest child Dallas was born with cystic fibrosis and Duchene's Muscular Dystrophy and passed on at the age of 16 on Sept. 17, 1989.

 

Karen Cossette

Karen Cossette grew up near Ekalaka, a small town in SE Montana. Her family joined CFA in the early 80's and has been a member since that time. She moved to Bismarck to attend college at the University of Mary. While attending college, she met and married Barry Cossette and they have a daughter, Erica. Erica is currently attending Moorhead State University. Karen has a BS in Computer Information Systems and worked for the State of North Dakota in computer programming for 15 years. She currently works part-time at WalMart. Karen is very active as a volunteer for CFA and wishes to continue her service to the Association on the board. Karen has cystic fibrosis.

 

Lynn Mills

Lynn Mills and his wife, Sherry live in Bismarck, ND with their sons, Cody and Ty, both of whom have cystic fibrosis. Lynn works for Norandex Inc. in Bismarck. Lynn and Sherry assist in a variety of CFA fundraising activities and Lynn is presently serving as board vice president.

Gail Rothschiller

A lifelong resident of Bismarck, ND, Gail Rothschiller and her husband, Frank have been members of CFA for many years. They have two children, Jennifer, 21, who has cystic fibrosis, and Matthew, who is 25. Gail is involved as a volunteer for CFA fundraising events each year. She has been a teacher in  Bismarck Public Schools for 31 years.
